Throughout the the 2023-24 school year Redding Achieve students will be going on a series of fishing trips to various locations such as Carr Powerhouse, Whiskey Creek, Shasta Dam, and Hat Creek. These field trips will give students a chance to explore and learn about local recreational areas, freshwater habitats, conservation, and how to fish responsibly. Students will learn how to bait a hook, cast, handle a fishing rod, as well as how to catch & release fish responsibly.
